Made in Santa Cruz

Made in Santa Cruz

Olive,

We took you to Santa Cruz for the first time this week. Your Abuelita was with us and she tried to buy you a onsie that said “Made in Santa Cruz,” I told her that was too much information. Then it dawned on her what the message on the onsie really meant. She frowned and put the onsie back. Sweet Abuelita…

You slept most of the time…

during a walk on West Cliff…

While waiting for mama to come out of the yarn shop…

You woke up just as we were about to eat a taco and have a beer at Olita’s on the wharf. You joined us with a couple bottles of your own. Hold the taco, extra milk please. Maybe next year you’ll be building sandcastles in your swimsuit. Can’t wait.

Love you,

Mama
