Let me explain. The urge came over me when we first got pregnant to pay for a sitting with a professional photographer when I’m at my roundest. So I scoured the internet for photographers who do maternity photos. All I really want are a couple nice pictures of Erik and I with the baby bump so she can see what she looked like before making her grand entrance. I’m such an old lady though, the moment it occurred to me that the majority of people who do this sorta thing end up baring naked bellies and sometimes lots more I quickly changed my mind and upgraded our point and shoot camera instead. Like many other things this has evolved into an inside joke between Erik and I. He says I’m overdressed in this pic and I’m missing my whimsical angel wings (truly, it’s a common prop for maternity photos…Google it friends you will not be disappointed!). I told him that would be false advertisement ’cause clearly, given the condition I’m in, I put out. So this is my rendition of one of those canned studio pics that I thought I wanted. We’ll save the professional pics for when the real angel appears.
